Introduction To The Nazarene WebRing

You have spent hours designing a GREAT site and FTPed it to your web space...

You've sent eMail to everyone you know asking them to check it out. Now, you wish there was some way to increase traffic to your page, let more people know you're there.

This caring Nazarene WebRing is exactly what you are looking for!

What is a "Web Ring?"

On the World Wide Web, a "ring" is a group of pages on the same topic that reference one another. For instance, you might find a great page on fishing and at the bottom of that page there will be a link to another fishing page, and there another link, and so on. The Nazarene WebRing does just that for Nazarene church, business and personal sites on the web.

Does it cost anything?

No. There is no charge of any kind, aside from what your web space provider already charges for your web space and maintenance. This is a mutually beneficial relationship, not a money making scheme.

Who is in charge of this web page and web ring?

The Ring Master is Howard Albertson. The ring server organization is WebRing. Webspace is provided as a courtesy of ImageMasterZ hosted on SimpleNet.

Who can get on the Nazarene WebRing?

The Nazarene WebRing is for any and all Nazarene-related sites. As a Nazarene WebRing site, you must be willing and able to add a Nazarene WebRing Navigation Panel to your web page as described below. Click here to see a list of all the pages already on our ring.

How do I join the Nazarene Ring?

First:

Fill in the following form, then press the "Add to Nazarene Ring Queue" Button below:

Site URL (http://www.yoursite.com) Type the http:// and the www.yoursite.com:
(if the webring complains, just continue as noted)
Site Title (like Pictures of Boston or Church of the Nazarene in Peoria, Kansas):

Your Name in full for the Index Listing:

Keywords--Enter up to 20 keywords to describe your site.

Description--Enter a short description of your site.

EMail address of the person who does the HTML on the page (probably you):

Make Up A Password:

Be sure to note your Ring # and Password for future reference.

Second:

You will receive an eMail containing a navigation panel code fragment (to produce the panel like that shown at the bottom of this page) to add into your Web page. Follow the instructions in that message.

Here are two smaller text-only Nazarene WebRing boxes which are alternatives to the graphical panel. These boxes have a different look and they have one advantage -- there are no gifs associated with the first one. If you have trouble with the HTML code emailed to you, here are two options you could use. NOTICE: to use this HTML code, PLEASE modify the "id=32" in these links to the ID assigned by the webring which will be sent to you by EMail. Also, please change the OWNER information and the EMAIL link behind the owner name.

Nazarene WebRing History

In the Spring of 1997, Robert Douglas decided that a WebRing should be formed for Nazarenes, and he was the first Ring Master of this ring.

In early 1998, Howard Albertson communicated to Robert that he would be willing to assist with the Ring Master work.

In September of 1999, this Nazarene WebRing Home Page was started, replacing the page with which Robert Douglas had started.
